Habitrec's Brain Dump on a phone: a capture box, the eleven tags, and a filterable list of everything captured

Capture Everything, Then Decide What Matters

Built on four systems that already work

  • 12 Week Year
  • Getting Things Done
  • Eisenhower Matrix
  • Habit streaks
  • Minimum Viable Day

One Inbox, Then One Decision At A Time

Everything you capture lands in a single Brain Dump. Nothing is filed at the moment of capture, because deciding where something belongs is a different kind of thinking from remembering it exists.

  • Capture is never blocked — free text is the only required field
  • Tag an item once and it appears wherever it belongs, never copied
  • Urgent and important are asked separately, so sorting stays consistent

The policy, not a summary of it.

Everything Lands In One Place

Capture

Tasks, ideas, expenses, worries and someday-maybes. It works offline — a thought you cannot record is a thought you lose.

Route

Tag an item once and it appears in its action list, project, goal or spending record, without being copied.

Decide

Urgent and important are two questions. Habitrec asks them separately and derives the quadrant.

Habitrec's Command screen on a phone: weekly execution at 73%, integrity at 100%, three habits done, and the day's three most important tasks

Commit

Plan a week, commit to it explicitly, and score what actually happened. Renegotiating early is neutral; going quiet is not.

Calendar

Two-way Google Calendar sync. Nothing is written to your calendar without you settling the conflict first.

Money

Budgets against what you actually spent, income, surplus and runway — in whole rupees, never a rounded float.

What We Promise, In Writing

Every line is in the policy

Not a summary of it — read the whole thing.

“We never sell your data, and never share it for anyone else’s advertising. We never use your content to train machine learning models — ours or anyone’s.”

Never sold, never shared
Privacy policy, section 4

“We never log the contents of what you write: item bodies, notes, reflections, money amounts, passwords and tokens are excluded from logs by an enforced redaction rule.”

Your words stay out of our logs

Download everything as one file or as spreadsheets, or delete your account — both from inside the app, under Settings. Deleting closes it at once, and for 30 days you can bring it back.

Leave whenever you like

From A Thought To A Block Of Time

  1. Capture it

Type the thought and move on. No dropdown, no project, no due date — those are decisions for later, and asking for them now is how a capture box goes unused.

  2. Tag it once

One tag routes it: an action, a goal, a habit, an expense, a commitment to somebody. It shows up wherever it belongs, and it is still the same single item.

  3. Give it a time

Schedule it and it becomes an event in the Google calendar you chose — in its own colour, for as long as you estimated. Change it in either place and the other follows.
